The Brief

Perform a significant power infrastructure upgrade to support the operation of new high-powered cleaning machinery. The site posed one major challenge: navigating existing live services during drilling and installation. This demanded precision planning, risk management, and coordination across multiple disciplines to avoid disruption and maintain safety.

Our Solution

Our team managed both the civil and electrical elements of the upgrade, ensuring a seamless end-to-end delivery:

  • Civil Works: 230m of directional drilling (150mm depth), alongside concrete cutting, trenching, and repairs to prepare the route.

  • Electrical Works: Installed new 800 amp supply from transformer to switchboard, plus an additional 600 amp feed from the main switchboard to the distribution board.

  • Managed cable hauling and installed cable trays to house and protect the new cabling.

  • Coordinated final connections while working carefully around existing live services, ensuring zero unplanned disruptions.
  • Installed new main earthing system for 800A supply

The project was delivered on time and to specification, with new high-capacity power supplies installed to support the site’s increased demand. Civil works were completed with minimal disturbance and full site restoration, while electrical upgrades were carried out safely around existing live infrastructure. The result: a reliable, future-ready power supply executed to the required quality standards.
